How Rom Yen came to be
Rom Yen — meaning 'cool shade' in Thai — was established in Bangkok by a small group of legal practitioners who had seen, repeatedly, how stressful and confusing pension matters can become for ordinary people. Too often, individuals arrived at critical decisions without understanding their position, without access to clear guidance, or without anyone taking the time to explain things properly.
The practice was built around a different approach: take each case quietly, explain everything plainly, and move at a pace suited to the person in front of us — not to administrative timelines. We focus entirely on pension-related legal work, which means our team has developed a depth of familiarity with the processes, paperwork, and pressures that these matters involve.
We operate from Sathorn Road in central Bangkok, and we serve clients across Thailand who are dealing with pension entitlements, appeal processes, or longer-running cases that need careful, continuous support.
Our mission
To make legal support for pension matters genuinely accessible — clear, affordable, and free from pressure — so that people can make informed choices with confidence.
Our values
- Calm — We do not create urgency where none exists. Your pace is the right pace.
- Transparency — Fees, timelines, and options are explained before you commit to anything.
- Respect — Every person who comes to us is treated with full courtesy and discretion.
- Clarity — Legal language is translated into plain words, always.

Pension legal support in Bangkok
Navigating pension entitlements in Thailand involves a specific body of law, regulation, and administrative process that can be difficult to follow without specialist guidance. The Social Security Act, provident fund frameworks, and related government schemes each carry their own procedural requirements, and decisions made within these systems are not always straightforward to challenge.
Rom Yen works within this environment daily. Our team understands the relevant processes — from initial entitlement assessments through to formal appeal procedures — and is well placed to help individuals understand what options are available to them, how long each path typically takes, and what the associated steps involve. We work with people at all stages of a pension matter, whether they are starting from a position of uncertainty or have already received a decision that does not feel right.
